A note from Leighann, Koinonia Founder and Trainer:
”It’s hard to believe we’ve been serving Austin’s dog families (first as a hobby and then as a business) for 14 years!
2019 will mark a change for us as I suspend Boarding to concentrate on Training. I thank all who have entrusted their furry family members to my care. Keep in touch on the Koinonia Facebook page!”
Our goal at Koinonia Boarding is to keep our doggy boarders as comfortable and fulfilled as possible during their owners' absence. We do this by:
Maintaining a home-style atmosphere. Koinonia operates out of a private home, so the dog lives almost exactly as he would in his own home.
Minimizing crate time. Unlike typical boarding facilities, the dog spends the majority of his time living among our family. Please note that your dog must have prior crating experience to stay with us. See the FAQ page for more details about how crates are used at Koinonia.
Prioritizing physical activity. Walks are considered a necessity, not an extra, at Koinonia. Most boarders receive daily walks.
Providing mental stimulation. We love to see our boarders mentally engaged during their stay! This means access to interactive, food dispensing toys, as well as additional learning activities when appropriate.
